I'll Be at the Fan Arts Stroll This May — Here's What to Expect
Share
The Fan Arts Stroll is one of my favorite things about living in Richmond. Every May, the historic Fan neighborhood comes alive! Thursday and Friday, May 14 and 15, from 4 to 8 p.m., the sidewalks and front yards of those beautiful old homes become an open-air gallery. Over 145 exhibitors, live music, and food trucks all woven into one of the prettiest streets in the city. It really is something.
This year, I'll be returning for my 5th year and I would love for you to stop by!
I'll be showing original paintings: loose florals, layered acrylics, the kind of work that's been coming out of my studio between nap times and early mornings this spring. Pieces will be available to take home that evening. If you've been following along on Instagram or reading Think Pretty and you've been curious about the work in person, this is your chance.
What is the Fan Arts Stroll?
The Fan Arts Stroll is a free, outdoor arts event organized by the Fan District Association, held along the 2000–2500 blocks of Hanover Avenue and Grove Avenue in Richmond's historic Fan neighborhood. It started as a way for local artists and musicians to share their work in an open-air setting, and it's grown into one of the most beloved community events in RVA. Admission is free. You just show up, stroll, and discover.
What will you find there?
Paintings, pottery, jewelry, photography, fiber arts — and this year, 50 new artists joining for the first time. Plus live music on every block and food trucks if you want to make an evening of it.
Come find me
I'll have original paintings available, and I'm happy to talk about the work, the process, or commissions if you have something specific in mind. If you're planning to come, send me a message on Instagram so I can look out for you! There's nothing I love more than meeting someone in person who's been following along online.
Richmond, I'll see you May 14th and 15th.
