Meet Morgann Joan

Since I was a little girl, I always loved painting. I used to sit in my room for hours watching Bob Ross add happy colors to his works and I would rewatch and pause parts of his show until I mastered his techniques. As I grew up, I thought it was not possible to be an artist full time, so I went the traditional route of going to college and trying to find some passion to pursue for a degree. After many years of wavering degree fields, I decided to take a painting class. During the class, my professor told me to let loose. I was set on painting the perfect piece, but I admired how other artists had incomplete brush strokes or splatters. Once I let go, it all started to flow.

Now after many years later, I mostly paint abstract pieces and fall in love with those details in every piece. I love finding brushstrokes in my art, layers and textures, and various marks that make the painting tell a story.
